Short Title. This Chapter shall be cited as the Education Act of 2017. Source: PL 6-10, § 1 (§ 1501); repealed and reenacted by PL 20-48 § 3 (Mar. 28, 2018), modified. Commission Comment: [Historical comments removed.] The Commission changed the capitalization of “chapter” pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(f). PL 20-48 repealed the Education Act of 1988, previously codified at 3 CMC §§ 1101–1193 and enacted the Education Act of 2017, codified at 3 CMC §§ 1101–1172. Commission comments relating to the prior Education Act of 1988, enacted by PL 6-10, have been removed in the sections that follow. In codifying PL 20-48 § 3, the Commission renumbered the sections in Articles 2–7 (§§ 1131–1182) pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(a)
