Short Title. This chapter may be cited as the “Nurse Practice Act of 2003.” Source: PL 3-29, § 1; repealed by PL 14-62, § 1; PL 14-62, § 2 (2301). Commission Comment: PL 3-29 took effect November 26, 1982. PL 3-29, § 28 repealed 63 TTC §§ 152, 154 and 156 as they applied to the practice of professional nursing and practical nursing in the Commonwealth. These sections were later repealed by the Medical Practice Act of 1982; see PL 3-30, § 30. PL 14-62, which took effect ninety days after being signed into law on March 31, 2005, repealed the “Nurse Practice Act of 1982” (sections 23012372) that was created by PL 3-29, and created the current sections 2301-2319. PL 14-62 also contained savings and severability provisions.
