Agreement for Coverage of Employees of the Government of the Trust Territory. The resident commissioner or, after January 9, 1978, the Governor is authorized to enter into an agreement with the High Commissioner of the Trust Territory for the purpose of extending coverage under this division to employment performed by a domiciliary of the Northern Mariana Islands for the government of the Trust Territory. Such agreement shall be entered as soon as is feasible after enactment of this division and shall: (a) Identify by name, address, and Trust Territory employee social security number the past and present employees of the government of the Trust Territory to whom the agreement will apply, (b) Identify the categories of future employees of the government of the Trust Territory to whom the agreement will apply; and (c) Provide that all employment after January 1, 1976, performed for the government of the Trust Territory by a person listed in the agreement or in a category identified by the agreement shall be covered under this division and that the Trust Territory government will comply with all provisions of this division relating to responsibilities of employers under this division with respect to such employment.
