Retirement Fund: Created. There shall be a Northern Mariana Islands Social Security Retirement Fund to be held in trust in the Treasury of the United States separate and apart from all public monies or funds of the United States or of the Commonwealth, which shall be administered by the U.S. Commissioner of Social Security on behalf of the Commonwealth exclusively for the purposes of this division. Source: DL 5-12, § 1. Commission Comment: The Commission inserted a colon in place of a semicolon in the heading of this section, correcting a grammatical error. According to PL 3-90, § 7(a) (reprinted in the preface material, prior to title 1), “section headings . . . do not in any manner affect the scope, meaning, or intent of the provisions of this Code.”
