§ 3001. Short Title. This division may be cited as the Commonwealth Judicial Reorganization Act of 1989. Source: PL 6-25, § 1. Commission Comment: PL 6-25 took effect May 2, 1989. PL 6-25, § 3 repealed and reenacted former title 1, division 3, chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4, which codified PL 1-5 and PL 3-14. See N.M.I. Const. art. IV, concerning the Commonwealth judiciary. According to PL 6-25, § 4, “[w]herever the term ‘Commonwealth Trial Court’ appears in the Commonwealth Code, it is henceforth to be interpreted and understood to refer to the Commonwealth Superior Court.”
