§ 30302. Resident Identification Cards. (a) Upon payment of the required fee and determination by the Office of the Mayor of lawful residents status, the Office of the Mayor shall issue to a person, a resident identification card. The application shall be accompanied by a certificate copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, a passport, U.S. social security number or any other document determined to be necessary by the Office of the Mayor for the expeditious processing of the identification card. (b) At a minimum, the card shall have on it a distinguishing number assigned to the card, the full name, sex, date of birth, residence address, a brief description including a photograph, if possible, of the cardholder and either a facsimile of the signature of the cardholder or a space upon which the cardholder shall write his usual signature with pen and ink immediately upon receipt of the identification card. No identification card shall be valid unless it has been signed by the cardholder and the Mayor or his/her designee. Source: Saipan LL 13-16, § 4.
