Jurisdiction. (a) The Supreme Court has appellate jurisdiction over judgments and orders of the Superior Court of the Commonwealth. (b) The Supreme Court has original but not exclusive jurisdiction to issue writs of mandamus, certiorari, prohibition, habeas corpus, and all other writs or orders necessary and appropriate to the full exercise of its appellate and supervisory jurisdiction.
