Intergovernmental Cooperation. In carrying out his duties under this chapter, the chief may consult with any other appropriate governmental entity, international organization, or regional organization. The chief may enter into cooperative agreements with any entity or organization, and may apply for, receive, and administer any grant related to his duties under this chapter, either directly, or through the director or the Governor, or through any other person designated by the Governor. Before entering into any cooperative agreement or applying for any grant, the chief shall determine whether compliance with the conditions of the agreement or grant would be in the best interest of the Commonwealth.
