§ 3217. Penalties. The owner or lessee of any property who fails to remove scrap metal within the time allowed herein, shall be notified in writing by the Department of Public Safety and shall have 10 days to comply. Failure to do so shall result in penalty of $50 per day thereafter. In addition thereto, the owner or lessee is subject to a charge of maintaining a nuisance, and upon a conviction thereof may be imprisoned for a period of not more than six months or a fine of not more than $1,000, or both, for each violation.
