§ 3310. Totalization Agreement. The resident commissioner or, after January 8, 1978, the Governor is authorized to enter into an agreement with the High Commissioner of the Trust Territory establishing a totalization arrangement between the social security system established by this division and the Trust Territory social security system, for the purposes of: (a) Establishing entitlement to and the amount of old-age, disability, and survivor’s benefits based on a combination of a person’s periods of coverage under this division and the Trust Territory social security system; and (b) Ensuring that service recognized as employment or self-employment under this division and under the Trust Territory social security system shall result in a period of coverage under this division or under such system, but not under both.
