Budget Responsibilities. (a) The Chief Justice, in consultation with the Commonwealth judiciary, shall be responsible for preparing estimates of the budget requirements of the Commonwealth judiciary and presenting those estimates to the legislature annually. (b) The expenditure authority for funds appropriated for the Supreme Court shall be vested in the Chief Justice. The expenditure authority for funds appropriated for the Superior Court shall be vested in the Presiding Judge. Source: PL 6-25, § 3, ch. 3 (§ 3402).
