Commission Comment: PL 3-92, which took effect January 7, 1984, repealed PL 1-1, PL 1-38 and Executive Order 19. 1985 Constitutional Amendment 24 modified N.M.I. Const. art. V, § 2, upon which this section was partly based. Among other revisions, that amendment increased the term of office of the Resident Representative to four years, beginning in 1990. Public Law 16-13 § 3(a), which took effect on August 25, 2008, repealed Division 4 of Title 1 of the Commonwealth Code in its entirety.
