§ 4411. NMHC: Established. (a) There is in the Commonwealth government a public and corporate body known as the Northern Mariana Housing Corporation (“NMHC”). (b) The area of operation of NMHC shall be the total area within the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth government. Commission Comment: [Historical comments removed.] PL 20-87 § 6 (February 5, 2019) mandated a global amendment to this chapter as follows: Section 6. Global Amendment. The references in Chapter 4 of Division 4, Title 2 of the Commonwealth* to “Mariana Islands Housing Authority” or “MIHA” shall be amended to “Northern Mariana Housing Corporation” or “NMHC” as they appear in Chapter 4. *So in original. In codifying PL 20-87 § 6, the Commission replaced all references to “Mariana Islands Housing Authority” with “Northern Mariana Housing Corporation” and replaced all references to “MIHA” with “NMHC” in each applicable section, section title, article title, and table of content entry for Chapter 4. The Commission did not replace any references within any historical comments or in any provision of law outside of Chapter 4.
