Job Vacancy Announcement. Any employer may utilize the Department to fill a job vacancy by filing a job vacancy announcement which includes information as required by the Secretary by regulation. Any employer seeking permission to employ workers other than citizens or CNMI permanent residents and U.S. permanent residents shall utilize the Department as provided in this chapter. Commission Comment: The Commission changed “resident” to its plural form in this section pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(g). *PL 17-1 (enacted on March 22, 2010) contained the following effective date provision: Section 12. Effective date. This Act shall take effect upon its approval by the Governor or becoming law without such approval and shall be retroactive to November 28, 2009 except as otherwise specifically provided herein.
