§ 4534. Notice of Default. Not less than 30 days prior to the commencement of any action or proceeding seeking foreclosure of a mortgage, written notice of default shall be served as provided in 2 CMC § 4524. The notice shall be written in the English language and in either Chamorro or Carolinian and shall contain the following: (a) A description of the real property; (b) The date and amount of the mortgage; (c) The amount due for principal and interest, separately stated; and (d) A statement that if the amount due is not paid within 30 days from the date of service, the mortgagor shall be in default and proceedings shall be commenced to foreclose the mortgage.
