§ 4553. Legal Tender. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a mortgage may require all mortgage payments to be made in the coins and currencies of the United States, and all purchases of land at foreclosure sales and all redemptions as provided in this chapter shall be made in the coin and currency of the United States.
