§ 4762. Right to Land Compensation. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, every landowner whose privately owned property was taken by the Commonwealth before or after the effective date of this Article, in the exercise of its authority under Article XIII, Section 1 of the CNMI Constitution or by any other means, is entitled to and has a right to be compensated by the responsible government authority in accordance with Article XIII, Section 2 of the CNMI Constitution.
