§ 4935. Contract Renewal. (a) An approved employment contract with a foreign national worker may be renewed. The criteria for approval of renewals shall be provided by regulation. (b) A request for renewal shall be made by submitting to the Secretary a renewal form signed by the employer and foreign national worker; a new approved employment contract if necessary; an approved health insurance contract as provided in 3 CMC § 4932, an approved security contract as provided in 3 CMC § 4924; a nonrefundable and nontransferable renewal application fee; and such additional documentation the Secretary may require by regulation. (c) A request for renewal shall be submitted no earlier than forty-five days prior to the: termination date and no later than thirty days prior to the termination date of an approved employment contract. This Act shall take effect upon its approval by the Governor or becoming law without such approval and shall be retroactive to November 28, 2009 except as otherwise specifically provided herein.
