§ 51521. Administrative Fine for Violations of this Article, or Related Regulation; Deposit of Fines; Enforcement Proceedings. (a) The Bureau may impose an administrative fine, not to exceed $2,500, for a violation of any provision of this article, relating to vehicles required to be registered with the Bureau or any regulation adopted by the Bureau pursuant thereto. The Bureau shall afford to any person so fined an opportunity for a hearing pursuant to the provisions of the Commonwealth Administrative Procedure Act, as set forth at 1 CMC §§ 9101 et seq. (b) All administrative fines collected by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles pursuant to subsection (a) shall be deposited in the Commonwealth General Fund with the Division of Treasury. (c) In addition to any other remedy provided by this article, the Bureau may compel compliance with this section and any provision of this article, relating to vehicles required to be registered with the Bureau, and any regulation adopted by the Bureau pursuant thereto, by injunction or other appropriate remedy and the Bureau may institute and maintain in the name of the Commonwealth any such enforcement proceedings.
