§ 54001. Seal Created. There is created a Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Product Seal to identify products manufactured in the CNMI. Source: PL 20-89 § 3(101) (Feb. 18, 2019), modified. Commission Comment: PL 20-89 § 1 provided that “[t]his Act shall be known as the ‘CNMI Product Seal Act of 2017.’” PL 20-89 also contained Findings and Purpose, Severability, and Savings Clause provisions. In codifying PL 20-89, the Commission created Chapter 22, CNMI Product Seal Act, and numbered each section within the Chapter pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(a). The Commission changed reference numbers to agree with numbered sections and changed “this Act” to “this Chapter” throughout the Chapter, where appropriate, pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(c)(d).
