2 CMC § 5423

Appointment of Inspectors; Rules and Regulations on Inspections. The director may appoint inspectors to examine and inspect all cattle, sheep, swine and goats; all carcasses and parts thereof; all meats and meat food products, and the sanitary conditions of all establishments in which such meat and meat food products destined for export are prepared. The inspectors shall not stamp, mark, tag or label any carcass or any part thereof, or any meat food product therefrom, prepared in any such establishment, until the item has been inspected and found to be unadulterated. The inspectors shall perform such other duties as are provided by this chapter and by the rules and regulations prescribed by the director for the efficient execution of this chapter. All inspections and examinations made under this chapter shall be made in such manner as described in the rules and regulations prescribed by the director and shall be consistent with the provisions of this chapter.
