Penalties. A person convicted of a felony under 2 CMC § 5523 shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than five years, or a fine not to exceed $2,000, or both. A person convicted of a misdemeanor under 2 CMC § 5523 shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than one year, or a fine not to exceed $1,000, or both. The penalties provided in this section shall be exclusive under Commonwealth law for any action constituting any such felony or misdemeanor. Source: PL 2-14, § 4.
