§ 5606. Scuba Instruction License. (a) In order to obtain a business license for scuba instruction, a business must employ one or more scuba diving instructors. (b) Each scuba diving instructor must possess: (1) A certificate evidencing that he or she is currently certified at the level of instructor; and (2) A liability insurance policy sufficient to insure the instructor and the business against the accidental death or accidental injury of any student which may occur during the course of instruction, in the amount of $500,000 per incident. (c) No business license shall be issued or renewed for scuba instruction unless the applicant presents evidence of compliance with subsection (b) of this section for each instructor employed by the business. (d) No person shall act as a scuba diving instructor until the business presents evidence of that person’s compliance with subsection (b) of this section to the Department of Finance.
