9 CMC § 5707

Motorcycles, Motor Scooters or Mopeds for Lease or Rental. (a) All persons leasing or renting motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds shall provide their customers with a brief summary of the Commonwealth traffic laws. Provided further, all persons leasing or renting motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds shall be provided the use of Department of Transportation certified helmets at no additional expense. Vendors in violation of this provision shall be fined not less than two hundred dollars and not more than five hundred dollars for every separate offense. (b) No person may offer a motorcycle, motor scooter, or moped for lease or rental to the public between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (c) No person may operate a motorcycle, motor scooter or moped offered for lease or rental to the public between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. except for privately owned motor scooters or mopeds used as a primary mode of transportation. The Commission amended subsection (a) as directed, but did not make any changes to any other subsections, pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(g). The Commission struck the figures “($200)” and “($500)” as mere repetitions of written words, pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(e).
