§ 7147. Typhoon Design Requirements. Every building and structure and every portion thereof to which this code applies and construction of which begins after February 2, 1990, shall be designed and constructed to withstand the minimum horizontal and uplift pressure set forth in the regulations, but in no case may the design wind velocity be less than 155 miles per hour.
