Short Title

Short Title. This chapter may be cited as the Northern Mariana Islands Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act. Source: PL 3-50, § 1. Commission Comment: PL 3-50 took effect March 3, 1983. The Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act was approved by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the American Bar Association in 1968. PL 3-50 retained most of the language in the uniform act, which has been adopted (with variations) in several U.S. jurisdictions.
