Short Title. This chapter shall be known as the Commonwealth Marital Property Act of 1990. Source: PL 7-22, § 1. Commission Comment: PL 7-22 took effect February 22, 1991. The Uniform Marital Property Act was approved by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws in 1983. PL 7-22 retained most of the language in the uniform act, which has been adopted (with variations) in Wisconsin.
