§ 8231. Utility Payments: Responsibility for Utility Charges. After September 30, 1977, occupants of houses owned or leased for employees by the Commonwealth government or the Trust Territory government in the Northern Mariana Islands shall be charged at the standard residential rate per kilowatt-hour for all electrical power consumed and at the standard residential rate per gallon for all water consumed. All reimbursements shall be credited to the utility agency involved. Source: DL 5-40, § 1; DL 5-41, § 1, modified. Commission Comment: As enacted, DL 5-40 related to water rates and DL 5-41 related to electrical power rates. As each act was substantially the same, the Commission consolidated them in this chapter.
