§ 8249. No Overtime. [Repealed.] Source: PL 8-13, § 4 (repealing PL 4-32, § 11, as amended by PL 5-31, § 405 and PL 6-3, § 304). Commission Comment: PL 8-13, § 4 repealed former subsection (a) of this section; it made no reference to subsection (b), which provided: “Employees of government corporations other than attorneys for executive directors may be exempt from this section if their board so determines.” Logically, this language was rendered meaningless after the provision to which it refers was repealed. In repealing former subsection (b), the Commission applied the rule that the common law presumption against implied repeals is overcome by a showing that two acts are irreconcilable. 1A N.
