§ 8386. Criminal and Civil Penalties. (a) Any person who knowingly makes any false statement, or falsifies or permits to be falsified any record or records of this system, in any attempt to defraud the system, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction may be fined not more than $2,000 and imprisoned for not more than one year. (b) The fund shall have the right to recover any payments made under false representations. Source: PL 6-17, ch. 8, § 8385.
