§ 8520. Report of Financial Interest of Legislators. Each legislator shall file a statement of financial interests. A legislator who refuses or fails to file the report when due forfeits and shall not be paid salary, per diem, or travel expenses after the due date until compliance, and is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is punishable by a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $1,000.
