§ 8544. Negotiating for Nongovernment Employment. A public official or public employee of the Commonwealth government may not participate through discussion, decision, approval, disapproval, recommendation, the rendering of advice, or otherwise, in a proceeding, application, request for ruling or other determination, contract, claim, hearing, controversy, investigation, charge, accusation, arrest, any process of legislation, or other matter, the outcome of which will have an effect on the financial interests of an individual or an organization with whom the public official or public employee is discussing, negotiating for, or has an agreement or arrangement for employment, by contract, retainer, or otherwise.
