§ 8571. Sanctions. (a) Any employee found to have violated any of the provisions of this part, or to have furnished false or misleading information to the Public Auditor with the intent to mislead, shall be subject to employment sanctions, including discharge, in accordance with procedures under which the employee may otherwise be disciplined. Any official who intentionally files a false or misleading statement of financial interests, or knowingly fails to file a statement within the time prescribed in this part, or otherwise violates any provision of this part, shall be subject to removal from office. (b) Any nonelected official, employee, or government contractor who fails to provide documents or information requested by the Public Auditor under 1 CMC § 8561 shall be subject to employment sanctions, removal from office, or cancellation of contract rights.
