§ 9168. Abandonment of Seamen. (a) Whoever, being master or in charge of a Commonwealth vessel, maliciously and without justifiable cause forces any member of the crew of the vessel on shore in order to leave him behind in any foreign port or place, or refuses to bring such place as is required under the articles any member of the crew of the vessel in condition and willing to proceed when the master is ready to proceed, shall be fined not more than $500. (b) The abandoned seaman shall retain his right to repatriation. Source: 19 TTC § 229.
