Petition for release, modification, or cancellation of charge

(A) Any person who has been charged under section 5121.33 or 5121.35 of the Revised Code may petition the department of mental health and addiction services to do the following: (1) Release the person from a charge; (2) Modify or cancel a charge. (B) The department shall respond to a petition in writing and inform the petitioner of whether a release, modification, or cancellation has been approved. Last updated October 17, 2025 at 4:00 PM
