The portion of the road known as United States route two hundred fifty, commencing in Ashland county at the intersection of that route and cottage street and extending in a southeasterly direction to the intersection of that route and United States route forty-two, shall be known as the "Ashland County Veterans' Memorial Highway." The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.
