Construction of act

This act shall not be construed to: 1. Create or recognize a right to abortion before a fetal heartbeat is detected; 2. Authorize the initiation of a cause of action against or the prosecution of a woman on whom an abortion is performed or induced or attempted to be performed or induced in violation of this act; 3. Wholly or partly repeal, either expressly or by implication, any other statute that regulates or prohibits abortion; or 4. Restrict a political subdivision from regulating or prohibiting abortion in any manner. Added by Laws 2022, c. 190, § 7, emerg. eff. May 3, 2022.
