The purpose of the Oklahoma Volunteer Firefighters Act, Sections 29-201 through 29-205 of this title, is to provide for a uniform system of fire protection for the lives and property of the people of Oklahoma. Laws 1977, c. 256, § 29-201, eff. July 1, 1978.
