As used in the Assisted Suicide Prevention Act: 1. "Licensed health care professional" means a physician and surgeon, podiatrist, osteopath, osteopathic physician and surgeon, physician assistant, nurse, dentist, or pharmacist; and 2. "Suicide" means the act or instance of intentionally taking one's own life. Added by Laws 1998, c. 194, § 2, eff. Nov. 1, 1998.
