The officer, whose duty it is to accept and approve such bond, guaranty or indemnity shall require the affidavits of two
freeholders versed in land values in the community where such real estate is located to the value of such real estate. Said officer shall have the authority to administer the oaths and take said affidavits. R.L. 1910, § 5345.
