Section 78.1. Financially distressed municipality grants.
In addition to the grant under 75 Pa.C.S. § 9620(2)(ii) (relating to appropriation and allocation of proceeds), a financially distressed municipality, as defined in section 203(f) of the act of July 10, 1987 (P.L.246, No.47), known as the Municipalities Financial Recovery Act, shall be eligible for an additional grant equal to 20% of the non-Federal share of bridge rehabilitation, replacement and removal projects that exceed $5,000,000 on county-owned or municipally owned bridges and bridges of undetermined ownership on county or municipal highways.
