Section 25.1. Compliance option.
Notwithstanding the provisions of 62 Pa.C.S § 322(6) (relating to specific construction powers, duties and procedures), as to the project authorized in section 14(a)(2)(i)(A) for the Commonwealth mail processing and legislative services facility, the Department of General Services may comply with the provisions of the act of May 1, 1913 (P.L.155, No.104), entitled "An act regulating the letting of certain contracts for the erection, construction, and alteration of public buildings," by entering into a design/build contract which requires that the design/build contractor comply with the requirements of the act of May 1, 1913 (P.L.155, No.104), entitled "An act regulating the letting of certain contracts for the erection, construction, and alteration of public buildings."
