Section 9. Debt authorization.
(a) Public improvements.--The Governor, Auditor General and State Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time in addition to any authorization heretofore or hereafter enacted, on the credit of the Commonwealth, subject to the limitations provided in the current capital budget, money not exceeding in the aggregate the sum specified in section 2(a).
(b) Furniture and equipment.--The Governor, Auditor General and State Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time in addition to any authorization heretofore or hereafter enacted on the credit of the Commonwealth, subject to the limitations provided in the current capital budget, money not exceeding in the aggregate the sum specified in section 2(b) as may be found necessary to carry out the acquisition and construction of the public improvement projects consisting of the acquisition of original movable furniture and equipment specifically itemized in the capital budget.
(c) Transportation assistance.--The Governor, Auditor General and State Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time in addition to any authorization heretofore or hereafter enacted, on the credit of the Commonwealth, subject to the limitations provided in the current capital budget, money not exceeding in the aggregate the sum specified in section 2(c) as may be found necessary to carry out the acquisition and construction of the transportation assistance projects specifically itemized in a capital budget.
(d) Redevelopment assistance.--Subject to the limitations in section 2.1 of the act of May 29, 2020 (P.L.205, No.25), known as the Capital Budget Act of 2019-2020, the Governor, Auditor General and State Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time in addition to any authorization heretofore or hereafter enacted on the credit of the Commonwealth, subject to the limitations provided in the current capital budget, money not exceeding in the aggregate the sum specified in section 2(d) as may be found necessary to carry out the redevelopment assistance capital projects specifically itemized in the capital budget.
(e) Flood control.--The Governor, Auditor General and State Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time in addition to any authorization heretofore or hereafter enacted, on the credit of the Commonwealth, subject to the limitations provided in the current capital budget, money not exceeding in the aggregate the sum specified in section 2(e) as may be found necessary to carry out the acquisition and construction of the flood control projects specifically itemized in a capital budget.
(f) Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission projects.--The Governor, Auditor General and State Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time in addition to any authorization heretofore or hereafter enacted, on the credit of the Commonwealth, subject to the limitations provided in the current capital budget, money not exceeding in the aggregate specified in section 2(f) to carry out the acquisition and construction of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission projects specifically itemized in a capital budget.
