Adoption of New Items or Methods

Section 1402. Adoption of New Items or Methods.--Nothing in this act shall be construed to prevent the adoption or use by any operator of new machinery, equipment, tools, supplies, devices, methods and processes if such new machinery, equipment, tools, supplies, devices, methods and processes accord protection to personnel and property substantially equal to or in excess of the requirements set forth in any portion of this act.
