Safety Blocks Placed at Head of Every Shaft, Slope or Plane

Section 713. Safety Blocks Placed at Head of Every Shaft, Slope or Plane.--Safety blocks or some other device for the purpose of preventing cars from falling into a shaft or running away on a slope or plane, shall be placed at or near the head of every shaft, slope or plane, and said blocks or other device must be maintained in good working order.
