Section 1. Be it enacted, &c., That from and after the passage of this act the stenographer and typewriter in the Department of Mines shall receive a salary of fourteen hundred dollars ($1,400) per annum, and the two stenographers shall each receive twelve hundred dollars ($1,200) per annum.
