Unlawful betting on animal races as common nuisance--Petty offense

All racing or trials of speed between horses or other animals for any bet, stake, or reward, except such as is specifically authorized by law is a common nuisance. A violation of this section is a petty offense. Source: SDC 1939, §§ 24.0301, 24.9911; SL 1976, ch 158 , § 25-3 .
