SDCL § 23A-43-26

When the condition of a bond has been satisfied or the forfeiture of a bond has been set aside or remitted, a court shall exonerate the obligors and release any bail. A surety may be exonerated by a deposit of cash in the amount of the bond or by a timely surrender of the defendant into custody. Source: SL 1978, ch 178 , § 527.
