Reduction of number of children in foster care

Each year, the Department of Social Services shall reduce the number of children who have been in foster care more than twenty - four months and who have received or are receiving assistance under Title IV - E of the Social Security Act. The amount of the reduction shall be one - half of one percent of the number of foster children in care during the preceding federal fiscal year. Source: SL 1982, ch 199 ; SL 2004, ch 167 , § 5.
