Operation on sidewalk or crosswalk--Duty to yield right - of - way to pedestrian--Violation as misdemeanor

A person operating a bicycle upon and along a sidewalk, or across a roadway upon and along a crosswalk, shall yield the right - of - way to any pedestrian and shall give an audible signal before overtaking and passing a pedestrian. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor. Source: SL 1982, ch 226 , § 3.
